I am interested in the question of social normativity and its changes, the position of women and the everyday and how this affects public space and social relations.
Rules and social norms determine our everyday lives, the way we conduct ourselves. I am intersted in how these rules are constructed, and what the models according to which they are constructed are, how they manifest in our interactions, our speech, our actions.
My work is concerned with everyday events, like cooking, cleaning or football to explore the role of women, or the roles women have been given. I always use documentary elements in film, sound, installation and books, and am increasingly interested in the voice and the possibilities of articulation and voice. I use stop frame object animation to look at the relations between the visible and the invisible, the static and the moving.
I am interested in the relationship between the cinematic image, the video image, the digital photographic record, the relationship between time and the frame, the process of producing the cinematic frame and its deconstruction.
